Perry Wayne Story

In 1976, Perry Wayne Story (Wayne) with his father, Henry Story, started the antique shop Bargain Corner at 4703 County Drive, Disputanta, VA. For many years, the Bargain Corner bought and sold furniture and country store memorabilia. In later years, they begin specializing in country store advertising memorabilia, notably advertising signs, tin and porcelain signs, gas signs and pumps, drink machines, and other country store memorabilia items.

Wayne Story is a native of Prince George County, VA. He is retired from thirty-four year's employment with Dominion Virginia Power. He grew up in the antique business and inherited from his father his passion for collecting regional Virginia items. Together they accumulated exceptional 19th century Richmond and Petersburg, Virginia, stoneware as well as rare, regional Civil War artifacts.

Mr. Story exhibits annually in gas & oil, automobile, and country store collectables shows in Frederick, MD, Columbus, OH, Charlotte, NC, Hersey, PA, and Sevierville, TN. He is a nationally known authority on gas and oil advertising signs. His shop can be found on Facebook as "Bargain Corner US Route 460 East".
