B. Frank Bishop

B. Frank Bishop has been a vintage bottle collector, scholar, and dealer for over forty years. He is known throughout the southeastern states as one of the foremost authorities on vintage, regional bottles from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Mr. Bishop is a native of South Boston, VA. He worked for GTE and later Verizon for twenty-five years, before retiring in 2010 to devote full time to bottle collecting. He has worked with several auction companies in Virginia and North Carolina evaluating important, regional bottle collections. He has also acquired many rare and important bottles for collectors and local museums.

Some years ago, Mr. Bishop participated in the television show "Trinkets and Treasures" aired on a local Raleigh, NC, television station. He is a member of the Raleigh, NC, and Richmond, VA, Bottle Clubs. He has given numerous talks and exhibits for these and other bottle clubs. He is known among bottle collectors as "Bottleman".

Mr. Bishop was a contributor to the book Early Embossed Virginia Soda Bottles (1835-1920) by Phillip A. Townsend. He frequently exhibits interesting vintage, regional bottles both from his and other collections on his Facebook page "Frank Bishop".
